Looks like a case of “oops, I don’t want to turn here”, and couldn’t pull off the lane change with the room they had.

I hate it when that happens.

That’s, like, 1.1 lanes at best. It doesn’t count as two lanes until you can’t go around them.

I think it happens to everyone, especially if you’re a bit confused so I don’t get too bent up about it. Unless you block my flowing lane by trying to merge into a completely stopped lane. Then I get bent up about it.
